We utilize an in-house job shop control system to effectively manage all jobs throughout the development process. Quality assurance is a key component throughout this process as well as evaluation the final product.
We deploy both small and large measuring devices which we regularly calibrate and service to ensure highest accuracy:
LEICA LTD LASER TRACKERWhen it comes to validating large pieces of equipment, the Leica LTD Laser Tracker allows us to perform measurements anywhere that the part is located. This device uses a Laser Tracker and wireless probe with a probing range of 15M (49 Ft.) This laser tracker delivers the fastest measurement cycle in the industry for high point density (3,000 points/second). Because of the mobility of this laser scanning hardware, our engineers can inspect a part while it is on the milling machine that is producing the part, or our Quality Control Engineers can go directly out on the shop floor where it is being assembled and perform a very complex and accurate inspection on site . Sheffield Endeavor FlexScanThe Sheffield Endeavor FlexScan allows us to measure large parts giving us a measuring envelope of 48" in the X-axis, 60" in the Y-axis and 40" in. in the Z-axis. The machine has a temperature probe, which can be attached to a part, and will then compensate for the temperature giving real time accurate dimensions. We create inspection programs from customer’s .iges and .dxf files to validate the parts Sheffield Cordax 1808-M D.C.C. MEAFor smaller jobs, the Sheffield Cordax 1808 also allows us to create programs to perform detailed measurements. It is has travel of 35.5 inches in X, 21.625 In Y, and 15.75 in Z. BOICE CMMThis is a very versatile CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) some of the features of this machine are being able to rotate planes, level, bolt circles, angles, tapered bores, programmable for multiple parts, and is very accurate. It is has travel of 49. inches in X, 26. In Y, and 26. In Z.
